3 Cool Ways Gratitude Builds Your Business

Like many people, at the dinner table on Thanksgiving you may think of being grateful for family and friends, and for the abundance of food on the table. It’s a wonderful tradition!

But there are many ways to expand on the power of gratitude which you may not have considered: In your business, for example. The first cool way to express gratitude to build your business is using the principle of focus.

Whatever you focus on, you get more of.

For example, find something that is going right, something you want more of, no matter how small. Ignore whatever isn’t going the way you want, just focus on the one thing that is going well, and be grateful for it.

I’m going to exaggerate a bit here to make my point: Let’s say you have one client, and you want 12. That’s okay . . . don’t focus on your frustration at not having the other 11, focus entirely on being grateful for that one.

You will attract the other 11 to you with that gratitude. You get what you focus on.

The second cool way to use the power of gratitude is to find a situation in your business that looks like a mistake you made. I say “looks like” a mistake, because there’s another, more powerful way to look at every “mistake”.

You can see it as a blessing, and be grateful for what it taught you. This changes your mindset around it completely! It takes you from a place of powerlessness to a place of being in your power.

When you are in your power, you are being the strong leader of your business that you need to be in order to take it to the next level.

Perhaps the coolest way to use the power of gratitude is to be grateful for the exceptional qualities you admire in others, such as colleagues and mentors. Here’s why: you can only see qualities in others that you have within yourself.

If you didn’t have the quality yourself, you wouldn’t be able to see it in them!

So this Thanksgiving, stretch your idea of gratitude to include these 3 powerful mindset shifts, and you’ll be setting yourself up for business growth in the New Year!
